Living for God in a world falling apart
Have you been bitten by the credit crunch? Plunged into negative equity? Panicked by the price of petrol at the pump? Does your credit card cringe at the supermarket checkout? Are you exercised over getting your children through education? Does the future of the banking system and the world’s economy keep you awake at night? Are you considering cutbacks in your spending? Is your job on the line? What does it mean to live for God and find his grace for our lives in times of financial turmoil and fear and uncertainty over what is happening in the world? In GCC on Sunday mornings, we want to look at how we can live for God in a world falling apart. And not simply how we batten down the hatches and survive – but how we can be effective in bringing the life and love of God into our world. This begins on 5 October, when we will be looking together at the kinds of issues which we along with many others are facing, which might be described as a world falling apart, and how God wants to restore his world.
